We have created this trek to allow you to experience the Method Wim Hof over a LONGER TIME to better experience it and IMPLEMENT it SUSTAINABLY IN YOUR DAILY life, all in a breathtaking natural setting: THE ITALIAN ALPS.

This trek will be supervised by the INSPIRE team with Leonardo Pelagotti, certified instructor Method Wim Hof (level 3), as well as Marco Levrone, mountain guide from the region of Cuneo (Italy).

Trek Program and Method Wim Hof

DAY 0: 

Arrival and welcome of the group at 6 pm in Cuneo

- 18h: Shuttle (1h) to the mountain village "San Bernolfo".

Altitude mt. 1700 We'll settle down at the refuge "Rifugio Dahu".

- 19h: Dinner all together Evening activities: introduction to the methodWim Hof, exchanges around your objectives, the group is formed.

- 22h: Rest and ready for the first day of trekking.

DAY 1 - 

- 7:00 am: Body awakening and basic breathingWim Hof 

- 8h: breakfast at the refuge 

- 9h: excursion to Lake Laus, Altitude 1913 mt. Difference in height of 210 mt - with a 4/5 km hike. Estimated travel time 2/3 hours (one way)

- 12h: Activities around the magnificent mountain lake and its meadows 

Learning gradual and controlled cold exposure and proper physical and mental preparation Learning the warm-up technique 

- 18h: Return to the Dahu refuge, stretching and recovery. 

- 7pm: Dinner

- 8:30 pm: Evening activities: meditation and breathing exercises for digestion 

- 10:00 pm: Rest 

Lake Laus

DAY 2: 

- 7am: body awakening, yoga and breathing Wim Hof and Oxygen Advantage

- 8h: breakfast 

- 8:30 am: departure for the crossing to the Migliorero refuge (alt. mt. 2094) passing by the pass "Passo di Laroussa". (alt. Mt. 2471) and its fantastic lake "Lago di Laroussa". (alt. 2438). 

Very interesting itinerary in a rocky environment, with a view of several peaks in the valley that culminate at about 3000 meters.

Mid-day stop at Lake Laroussa, a glacial lake of rare beauty.

Difference in height of 1100 mt - with a hike of 8/9 km. Estimated travel time of 6/7 hours (excluding breaks and baths in the lakes and other breathing exercises of the method)

- 18h: Arrival at the Migliorero refuge, stretching and recovery.

- 7pm: Dinner

- 8:30 pm: Evening activities: meditation and visualization  

- 10:00 pm: Rest 


DAY 3: 

- 7:00 am: Body awakening, yoga and breathing Wim Hof and Oxygen Advantage

- 8:30 am: Breakfast

- 9:30 am: Activities around the method Wim Hof at the lake "Lago dell'Ischiator" and direction to the waterfall "cascata dell'Ischiator" (mt 1900) crossing "pianoro del Migliorero".

Difference in height of 200 mt - with a 2/3 km hike. Estimated journey time 1/1.5 hours (excluding breaks and baths in the lakes and other breathing exercises of the method Wim Hof)

Deepening activitiesWim Hof : breathing technique against inflammation, advanced warming technique and brown fat activation, group and multiple baths with intention and mental preparation.

Scientific Explanation of Scientific Studies (2014, 2018 and 2019)

- 18h: Return to the Dahu refuge, stretching and recovery.

- 7pm: Dinner

- 8:30 pm: Evening activities: meditation and breathing to calm the mind

- 10:00 pm: Rest

Cascata dell'Ischiator

DAY 4: 

- 7h: Body Awakening, Yoga and Breathing

- 8:00 am: Breakfast 8:30 am: Departure and crossing to the "Rifugio Zanotti" (alt. mt. 2144) via "Passo di Rostagno" (alt. 2536).

A very interesting trail that will open our horizons on another valley: the "Valle Stura" towards the notable walls sculpted by the glaciers with a stop in the middle of the day at the Laris Lake (2447 m), a unique turquoise coloured lake will be waiting for us.

Positive height difference of 500 mt - with a 7 km hike. Estimated journey time of 5 hours (excluding breaks and baths in the lakes and other breathing exercises of the method Wim Hof)

- 17h: Return to the Zanotti refuge, stretching and recovery.

- 7pm: Dinner

- 8:30 pm: Evening activities: meditation and breathing in nature

- 10:00 pm: Rest


DAY 5:

- 7:00 am: Body awakening, yoga and breathing Wim Hof and Oxygen Advantage

- 8:30 am: Breakfast

- 9:30 am: Activities around the method Wim Hof at Lake Mongioie (mt 2480)

Positive height difference of 350 mt - with a 4/5 km hike. Estimated journey time 2.5 hours (excluding breaks and baths in the lakes and other breathing exercises of the method Wim Hof)

Wim Hof Advanced deepening activities: breathing for endurance and energy, extended group bath and meditation in nature.

Power breathing Wim Hof.

- 17h: Return to the Zanotti refuge, stretching and recovery and debriefing of the Corso

- 7pm: Dinner

- 8:30 pm: Evening activities: meditation and breathing in nature

- 10:00 pm: Rest


DAY 6: 

- 7:00 am: Last breathing session together

- 8h: Breakfast

- 9 am: Return journey from the "Rifugio Zanotti" to the "Paese montano di Pietraporzio" (mt. 1230).

Positive height difference of 0 mt (downhill) - with 8 km hike. Estimated journey time 4/5 hours (excluding breaks and baths in the lakes and other breathing exercises of the method Wim Hof)

- 2:00/ 3:00 p.m.: Arrival at "Pietraporzio".

- 15:30: Shuttle back to Cuneo (1h)

Leonardo Pelagotti
Founder INSPIRE, method instructor Wim Hof level 3, coach Oxygen Advantage, ex-gymnast

Leonardo Pelagotti, Founder INSPIRE, is an experienced Method Wim Hofinstructor since 2017, former national level gymnast and black belt in Kung Fu. He works closely with Wim Hof and Innerfire, he regularly coaches the Winter Travel in Poland as team coordinator. He has accompanied thousands of practitioners around the world to discover and deepen the MethodWim Hof.

He became a coach Oxygen Advantage in 2019 to complete his expertise in optimizing breathing for top athletes and for everyone on a daily basis.

He's in the process of training to become an instructorAnimal flow.

Elise Pieters
Founder INSPIRE, Yoga teacher, Method practitioner Wim Hof

Elise Pieters, Founder INSPIRE, practitioner of the Method Wim Hof since 2016, biologist, passionate about nature and human functioning, yogi and entrepreneur at heart; she co-animates the workshops with Leonardo Pelagotti. She wishes to share with as many people as possible the simple and concrete tools that have helped her to know herself better and that allow her to be more resilient, mentally and physically strong, with absolute confidence in life and her difficulties transformed into gifts.

Alexandre Guinefort
instructor Method Wim Hof level 2, Naturopath, Triathlete

Alexandre is a Level 2 Method Wim Hof Instructor, Naturopath (CENA Robert Masson), Coach, Triathlete (IM), Photographer and Director. In love with nature and human potential, at the age of 37, he is afflicted with Lyme disease and does everything possible to find solutions to cure himself. It is on this path of healing that he meets the Method Wim Hof that allowed him to cure himself. Alexandre joined the INSPIRE team more than a year ago to help spread the message of a more humane, healthy and happy world.

Marco Levroneguide
, Maritime Alps specialist and Method practitioner Wim Hof

My name is Marco Levrone, I live in Piedmont, in the north-western region of Italy on the border with France.

My main hobby is the mountains in all their variations: mountaineering or hiking, camping or contemplating the beauty unleashed at these heights. For the past few years, my main passion has been ski mountaineering, but among the things I love most in the mountains, apart from the contact with snow or rock, I sleep under these starry skies, lulled by this silence, where sleep can be really peaceful and restful!
For about 15 years I have been deepening my knowledge of the Alps in the province of Cuneo, where this trek is organized.
I took theoretical and practical courses on mountaineering, downhill skiing and hiking guides.

Practical information

Please note that every meal at the refuge is included (breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner).

Alcoholic beverages are your responsibility.

Hardware list

- Mountain backpack: capacity of at least 45 litres, best 60 litres.

- Trekking/rando shoe

- Hiking socks; cotton socks

- Trekking clothing (cotton or breathable)

List of material provided by the supervising team

First aid equipment.

Dressings, gauze, medicines, first aid blanket, etc...

Location

The trek will be in the valley "Valle Stura di Demonte"

Very beautiful valley, wild, green and with many lakes, streams and waterfalls.

And above all a very quiet valley not much frequented by tourists!

So we will be quiet throughout our stay. The Stura Valley is part of the Maritime Alps.

I participated in a Corso to prepare for the cold exposure. I went in with a goal of doing a "feat", and I came out transformed. Not only did Leo gently lead us through all the exercises (bathing in a tub of ice water, in a river, at a waterfall, in a lake, hiking in the mountains in winter shirtless, walking barefoot in the snow, lying down and rolling around in the snow), but he gave us the keys to the method so that all these exercises could be reproduced solo. To this learning of the WHM, was associated an opening on other breathing techniques, an initiation to yoga, and some precepts of Ayurvedic medicine.
